Fashionista: Fashion advice to LSU fans

by

Buona Giornata, amori miei! ‘Tis time, ‘tis time for your beloved Fashionista’s next to last addition to this season. You see, I do try to keep my catty nature to myself but seeing as this is the 105th tiger mascot we’ve played this fall, I’ve decided to make said feline release my barbed tongue and I will use my Ultimate Pen when writing the PenUltimate column of 2025.  Here we go, rowr!

Top 7 bits of fashion advice to give LSU fans:

7. “Oh, I love that you’re so committed to the ‘comfortable” look. It’s so… practical.

6.”That’s a very brave choice for a Saturday morning.”

5. “Your haircut looks good, given what the stylist had to work with.”

4. “It’s great that you don’t worry about things matching perfectly. That’s a real time-saver, I bet.”

Defense carries Sooners to 17-6 win over Mizzou

by

In a game best described as a defense-dominated punting contest, the Oklahoma Sooners got their fifth win over a ranked opponent, the Missouri Tigers 17-6, and took another step toward the college football playoffs.

The win, which followed last week’s road win over then 4th ranked Alabama, improved the Sooners’ record to 9-2, and left LSU the weekend next week as the last hurdle to a first round playoff spot.

The first quarter had fans thinking last week’s win in Tuscaloosa left a hangover for the Sooners. Missouri led 3-0 and Oklahoma had negative rushing yardage.

But the Oklahoma defense shut down vaunted Mizzou running back Ahmad Hardy, holding him to a mere 57 yards, just one week after Hardy ran for 300 yards and three touchdowns against Mississippi State. Hardy entered the game was the nation’s leading rushing, averaging 130 yards per game.

Good Day, my Sooner lovelies!  Or as they say at my current location, “Bonjour, mon ami!”  Yes, your beloved fashionista is strutting the streets of Winnipeg, Canada as we speak.  Brock is here as well.  Who else will I get to carry my luggage then give me tootsie massages later?  I believe I’ll let him hang around a bit longer.

Now as to Great White fashion. The Canadian people do like their hockey jerseys over football attire, but I have yet to see one dreaded Longhorn rag upon any person and/or animal.

Nor have I seen any orange.

Our Northern neighbors at least have that much fashion sense.  I was even able to find a statue of “The Sower” which is very reminiscent of our own glorious sculpture on the Sooner’s hallowed soil.

So, in closing, I can honestly say, even Canadians hate Texas! Resplendent!

What does Brock say?
