Game of the week: No. 1 Texas at No. 2 Ohio State
Our panel voted 12-2 in favor of Ohio State. But since most of them are Oklahoma fans, this selection may have more to do with Red River animosity than it does a comprehensive analysis of opening day in Columbus. Regardless, this will be a great way to start the day — 11 am on FOX.
(ESPN Analytics picks the Longhorns chances of winning at 54%. But Vegas has the Buckeyes a 1 1/2 point favorite. Let’s just call this one a toss up.)
Other favorites: Baylor over Auburn, Ga. Tech over Colorado, LSU over Clemson and Notre Dame to defeat Miami.
