Oklahoma unveiled a National Honors Plaza in the northeast corner of Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon – plaques of the Sooners’ 21 national award winners.
Athletic director Joe Castiglione called it “putting history where people can find it.”
Bob Stoops stepped to the podium and said: “It’s special. It needs to be displayed because very few have the numbers and the great tradition and the great players we do.”
Proper sentiments, both of them. They just didn’t hit the bull’s-eye that Barry Switzer did when it came his turn.
