Dave: Win or lose playoff game — this has been a great season for the Sooners
Once again the Sooner offense did just enough to beat LSU 17-13, and not waste another stellar performance by the defense.
It was looking a little bleak in the fourth quarter with OU down by 3 and only a hand full of minutes left in the game. That’s when Sooner Magic reared its beautiful head, with a little help from a busted coverage by the Tigers.
Next thing we knew Satenga was streaking down field, no one within 20 yards of him, on his way to a 55-yard touchdown reception. The defense did the rest by stopping LSU on fourth down and securing the win.
With the victory comes Oklahoma’s first playoff birth since 2019, and the first home playoff game in Oklahoma history.
Against a familiar foe, Alabama.
